Annual Reports
All states submit annual reports on the implementation of the Act under Rule 18 of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules 1995, which states:
18. Material for Annual Report:
The State Government shall every year before 31 March, forward the report to the Central Government about the measures taken for implementing provisions of the Act and various schemes/plans framed by it during the previous calendar year.
The full annual reports since 2020 are uploaded.
From 2008-2019 the reports are compilations of the following a) Two six-monthly reports of the state government for the year and the b) Summary report extracted from the union report under Section 21(4). These compilations are marked (C).
For the earlier years, we have not yet been able to access the full reports so only the summary reports of the state extracted from the union report prepared under Section 21(4) of the Act are provided. These summary reports are marked (S).
We have not yet been able to access the full reports of each state for all the years. The full reports under Rule 18 from the calendar year 2020 onwards have been uploaded and are marked (F).
There is one consolidated summary union report for the state for the calendar years 1996 and 1997.
There is no data available for the years 1990-1995 even in the union reports.

Contingency Plan [15(1)]
The contingency plan flows from Section 15A and Rule 15. It is unique to each state. It has the time frame (deadlines) by which a particular action (spot visit, payment of travel allowance, maintenance expenses, relief, rehabilitation etc) must be taken, the officer(s) accountable, and the department responsible. A copy of the contingency plan of each state is available with the union ministry of social justice and empowerment (MSJE) and in the respective states. In the state, it is available with the nodal officer, the scheduled castes and the scheduled tribes protection cell, and with all the district magistrates, sub-divisional magistrates, the inspector general of police, and the superintendents of police [Rule 15(2)].
